An Entrechambre is a space between two rooms, a transitional space. At Guts, it connects two generations, two practices, and two eras.
Aribert von Ostrowski’s works, spanning several decades, fill the space with an imaginative density that resists easy reading. Jonas von Ostrowski confronts us with a wall element, presented here as a sculpture before finding its permanent place as a corner in the barn of Los Angeles in Günsterode, the artistic hub he has created.

Together, the works open a conversation between father and son, between the construction of a collage and the building of a house, between the freedoms of one era and the constraints of another, between a practice rooted in fantasy and one grounded in practicality. They are held together by a shared refusal of hierarchies and a belief that art and life need not be separate things.
