After four years at Hobrechtstraße 31, GUTS is closing this chapter with one last exhibition: It’s Curtains. More than just a farewell, this event pulls together all the artists who have shaped the space since its beginning, while also opening up the architecture itself: the walls, the corners, the stage tricks usually kept hidden.

The title plays with endings and beginnings: it’s curtains for this location, but not the final curtain call. GUTS will reopen this September at Engeldamm 64, transformed yet continuous, carrying its history into a new setting.

It’s Curtains serves as both a collective goodbye and an instant snapshot of what GUTS has been. By reuniting the artists who have exhibited here, the show becomes a living archive, a compressed memory of four years of experimentation, risk, and collaboration.

This one-day event is also a celebration of transition. To shed a skin is not to disappear but to mutate into something that has already begun to take shape.
